The Chamber, through the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government (LOCPG), donated HKD1 million to support earthquake relief efforts in Gansu and Qinghai. Jonathan Choi, the Chamber’s Chairman, along with Ricky Tsang, Connie Wong, Herman Hu, Tse Yung-hoi and Li Yinquan, Vice-Chairmen, presented the donation cheque to He Jing, Deputy Director of LOCPG, who will forward it to the disaster-stricken areas, expressing heartfelt condolences to the affected compatriots. In addition, Tsang also represented Goldlion Holdings Limited to donate HKD1 million as a gesture of support.

He expressed gratitude on behalf of the affected compatriots for the Chamber’s care and assistance. He stated that whenever natural disasters occur in the country, the Chamber promptly provides donations and relief, demonstrating the Chamber’s traditional spirit of patriotism and love for Hong Kong. LOCPG will expedite the transfer of the donation to the affected areas to support disaster relief and reconstruction efforts. (29/12)
