"Outreach" : Bridge programme for foreign Investors in India

The Economic Diplomacy Division of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in association with some of the leading institutes in the realm of providing management and entrepreneurship education has conceived a Bridge programme for foreign Investors investing in India named “Outreach”. The programme will provide opportunity to possible investors to understand the investment landscape in India.

The programme being conceived would be based on a classroom and industry interface based pedagogy. The length of the programme would be 3 weeks residential programme and would encompass the following elements:

a.    A general introduction to and an over view of India
b.    Cross Cultural Management Issues
c.    Regulatory Landscape, taxation Regime (Direct and Indirect)
d.    Statutory steps to set up a company and company registration
e.    Legal and Statutory Compliance Requirements
f.     FDI Policy
g.    Other parameters on the Ease of doing business namely land acquisition processes, labour hiring, environmental laws etc
h.    Elements of entrepreneurship in the Indian landscape.

The cost of the programme shall be shared with the interested participants.
